A hard-working service site with a sharper local presence for a family-owned tree and land-management company serving Curry County and beyond.
The context
Tilikum Tree Care was founded in 2024, but its story reaches back through four generations of logging and timber experience. The family-owned business serves Gold Beach, Brookings, Port Orford, and Bandon, along with customers across Curry, Coos, and Josephine counties.
Its work ranges from tree removal, trimming, and cabling to wildfire mitigation, land clearing, and disaster response. That range creates a practical website challenge: a property owner should be able to recognize the right service quickly, understand where the crew works, and choose a direct way to start a conversation.
Before and after
The design direction
The previous homepage led with an aerial forest-road photograph and a broad welcome message. The redesign opens on a worker handling real material in a coastal forest, then pairs that image with a plain description: expert tree care and land management.
Black, white, and a vivid pink accent give the site a more distinctive visual system without competing with the job photography. The same accent marks the primary estimate action, while a second path lets a visitor call or text a photo of a tree. Those options match the way the live site asks prospective customers to make contact.
Licensing, bonding, insurance, the service territory, and CCB number appear as concrete details, not vague claims. Further down, the company story explains the meaning of “Tilikum”—people, family, and community—and connects it to the family’s timber background.
What was built
Removal, mitigation, clearing, cabling, trimming, and disaster response are separated so visitors can scan the scope of work without translating industry language.
The named coastal communities, county coverage, family story, and contractor details make the site specific to the company that will arrive on the property.
A gallery of the crew, trees, equipment, and completed work replaces generic visual filler with material a prospective customer can connect directly to the service.
